Want to Join The Club?

The top ten things you need to know are:

1. We are community-based club run by an amazing group of volunteers and our club is part of the Waverley District Netball Association (WDNA).
2. Competition is played on Saturdays, at a set time (dependant on the section) at Ashwood Netball Courts. Two seasons can be played annually: Autumn (March-June) and Spring (July-December).
3. We field teams from ‘9 & Under’ through to ‘Open’. With up to 10 players in each team. We are permitted to have 2 boys in each team.
4. To register our teams, we require a Team Manager (typically a parent of a player) and a Coach. Coaches are connected to the team or the club and supported by
   experienced coaches.
5. Team’s train 1x per week (45mins-1hr) at a time that works for the coach and families. Training venues are currently Ashburton Primary School and Solway Primary School. 
6. All players are required to wear the Ashburton Netball Club uniform on game day, This can be the dress or the shorts and singlet set depending on what they player would prefer to wear.  Uniforms items can viewed and purchased via our online shop.
7. Junior players are registered by parents before each season in the Netball Connect app. An annual fee is included and paid to Netball Victoria and the club fee is paid per season which supports club operations and player and coach development activities.
   
8. Ashburton Netball Club is proudly committed to Child Safety and has adopted Netball Victoria’s Child Safety Policy and Guidelines.
9. We thrive on fostering a positive and supportive community, from training to game day and everything in between so the experience with the great game of netball is an enjoyable and memorable one.
10. We hold ‘Come and Try’ events that invite young people to have a go. Following these events, should we have sufficient numbers we can form new teams. If you’re keen to learn more or join a team, please get in touch!
